Summary P.S. I Still Love You (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before 2)

Lara Jean is spending New Years’ Eve in her Aunt Carrie’s home, along with other family members. Lara Jean is struggling with deciding if she wants to give a heartfelt letter to Peter Kavinsky or not. Peter is a well-liked classmate, which Lara kissed ln a hot tub during a class field trip. After seeing photos of Lara with Peter, her cousin Haven encourages Lara to deliver the letter.

Later that night, Lara’s father drops her off at Peter’s home. She ventures onto the house’s porch and rings the door, with eagerness. However, when Peter answers the doorbell, the indifferent demeanor he presents shakes her confidence. Peter’s lack of emotion causes Lara to believe that he would be uninterested in receiving in the letter. Lara instead quickly searches her mind and tries to convince Peter that she has stopped by to wish him a happy New Year. As Lara turns to leave, Peter notices that a letter is sticking out of her pocket and swiftly grabs it. Lara becomes flustered and tries to stop Peter, but he eventually snatches it away and reads it in front of her. Lara and Peter were a couple once before, but they broke due to a disagreement. The letter is a sincere apology, and he confesses that he still holds feelings for her as well. The two decide to begin dating again.

Their journey as a couple begins quite rocky. Lara Jean feels insecure about Peter’s relationship with his ex and Lara’s ex-friend Genevieve. On top of this a video, of Lara Jean and Peter kissing in a hot tub appears surfaces on Instagram. Peter quickly has the video taken down. Lara Jean believes that Genevieve posted the video, and later confronts about it. Genevieve is jealous of Lara Jean and has tried in different ways to destroy her relationship with Peter.

When Lara Jean confronts Genevieve, it becomes clear that she is lying. Lara Jean goes to Peter, stating that she believes Genevieve was the one who posted the video. Peter says he will talk to Genevieve. Peter returns to Lara Jean, saying that Genevieve told him she didn’t post the video, and he believes her. Peter’s position causes friction in their relationship.

A mature couple moves into Lara Jean’s neighborhood. The couple plans to destroy a treehouse that Lara and the other neighborhood children once played in. Lara Jean still loves the treehouse and reminisces about her fond childhood memories within it.

John Ambrose McLaren, Lara’s childhood friend and recipient of a love letter, returns to town. John, Peter, and Lara were all apart of the same social before John moved away. The old gang has a reunion that starts a game of Assassin, which is a game they all played together as children. While the game goes on, Lara Jean and Peter break up when he says that he knew that Genevieve was the one who posted the video of them. Lara Jean also discovers that she likes John, but what she feels for Peter is love.
