The Maze Runner basic plot

When Thomas (Styles S) has awakened, he is pulled from an elevator into a Glade by a group of make teenagers. Thomas has no recollection of the outside world and soon discovers none of his companions do either. At the end of the glade there is a concrete-like structure which resembles a maze. Alby and Newt (two of the teens trapped in the glades) are known as maze runners. Their job is to discover as much of the Maze as they can. But the Maze is dangerous and is the home of many letheal creatures such as Grievers. SO everyday the two run the maze trying to map it out and find a possible exit.

The first girl to enter the glade arrives just one day after Thomas. But a bunch of detrimental changes also come with her. The sun disappears, supplies stop and most importantly the Maze doors now remain open at night allowing the night creature to attack the Gladers out of the maze. Making an escape of the Glad even more imperative for the teens. Thomas has to escape but only by painstakingly gathering information from his fragmented memory, and pairing that with revelations gained from ‘running’ the maze can he hope to discover why he was placed in the maze and also how to find a means of escape with his allies. He then becomes, as the title of the Book suggests, another Maze Runner.

Just an update on the movie for all those who love teen wolf, Dylan O’Brien is the star in the film. Also, the trilogy of The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials and The Death Cure have confirmed movie release dates. Check the links for more info. Not to mention Dashner addition to the series, The Fever Code is also available for purchase. No movie date has been released for the 4th book.
