Plot

Regardless of the generation in which you were born, everyone grew up with stories, fairy tales, and movies we hold dear in our hearts. Often these stories would have a hero we cheered for and a villain we were against, or vice versa. These roles of hero or villain would tend to develop as the story progresses or be in place from the beginning. Mr. Chainani takes an entirely different direction within his book The School of Good and Evil with how these roles come to be. The plot begins within a village named Gavaldon. Gavaldon is famous for its quadrennial festival, where on the 11th day during the 11th month of that year, a mysterious force abducts a child 12 years and above. Many villagers believe the mysterious force takes the children to a fabled school hidden within the Endless Woods surrounding the village. cing Sophie dreams of attending this fabled school, with her young heart set on the hero course. However, when the mysterious takes Sophie and her best friend Agatha away to the school, they each begin an unexpected journey of self-discovery. Netflix is producing a movie adaption of Mr. Chainani's children's book with a star cast that includes Kerry Washington, Michelle Yeoh, and Laurence Fishburne, to mention a few. The main characters Sophie and Agatha will be played by the talents Sophia Anne Caruso playing Sophie and Sofia Wylie playing Agatha.
